Grandmaster Kim's martial arts journey spans an impressive 50+ years, commencing at the tender age of 5. His relentless dedication to training and personal growth propelled him to become a teacher, coach, and eventually, a referee. In 1990, Grandmaster Kim brought his wealth of knowledge to South Florida, where he began imparting the art of Taekwondo. It was during this time that he crossed paths with Mrs. Kim, marking the inception of their shared legacy.
Grandmaster Kim's teaching philosophy extends to all walks of life, embracing students of various ages, law enforcement personnel, military members, individuals with special needs, and even the elderly. He firmly believes that the practice of Taekwondo not only contributes to physical well-being but also fosters mental longevity. Beyond his expertise in Taekwondo, Grandmaster Kim holds a Master's degree in Hapkido, Master Degree in Haidong Gumdo, and instructs in Yang Style Tai Chi.
His illustrious career includes notable roles such as Former USA Taekwondo Referee Chairman, Referee Instructor, Former PanAmerican Referee Vice-Chair, and International Referee S Class. The "S Class" is the highest level, and few have achieved this level of accomplishment. Attaining the esteemed rank of 9th Dan Grandmaster, Grandmaster Kim has received numerous accolades, including several Best Referee awards on both the national and international stages. Alongside his martial arts achievements, he takes pride in being a devoted father.
